Happy New Year from the Kingston21.info team!! It’s so good to be at the beginning of another year especially after the extreme challenges of 2009. We are personally and painfully aware of the many losses that have been experienced in our community. Some of us have lost our families, our jobs, our businesses, our faith, our homes, our cars and our money. We have been forced to delay our educational attainment and business development goals. Overall the economic recession has caused derailment of many of our plans and resulted in a social fall-out.
Not that everything or anything is going to miraculously get better, but 2010 gives us new opportunity to hope. Now is the time to do a thorough self-inventory, to turn a new page, wipe the slate clean, take the bull by the horns and work hard at achieving your goals. Never give up on your dreams. Do not sit around waiting for things to happen or for government handouts. You need to take responsibility for your own destiny and move forward in faith, capitalizing on available opportunities. Stay away from quick fixes, focusing instead on the long term path to overall healthy development of your life and community.
In 2010 www.Kingston21.info will continue providing you with information on everything Jamaican in South Florida.
