Jamaicans may get life sentences in US

Three Jamaicans who were indicted in connection with a narcotics network in the United States may face life sentences.
They are Jean Brown, Hubert Downer and Dean Myrie.According to reports in the Orlando Sentinel, the indictment alleges that the Jamaicans are among a group of six persons that “conspired to distribute and possess with intent to distribute at least 1,000 kilograms of marijuana since 2000 as part of the Brown Organisation, a criminal narcotics network that distributes drugs in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Arizona, New York and Jamaica.”

The indictment further alleges that the three Jamaicans kidnapped and murdered a man to “further the Brown Organisation’s drug business.”
